Elation goes platinum with the Pro FS 15R

Elation Professional is seeking to improve efficiency with its latest follow spot, the Pro FS 15R, a high-output, medium-throw spotlight designed around a platinum source. The fixture reportedly delivers an ‘exceptionally flat field beam with no hotspot’.
The light employs an anti-reflection lens combined with a Philips MSD 15R lamp capable of producing 13,500 lumens of 8,000 K white light (6010lx at 20m), operating with a maximum power consumption of 320W. It comes with seven interchangeable dichroic colours that, alongside a variable CTB/CTO filter, allows for colour temperature refinement. Framing, frost and iris adjustments are top-mounted and dimming is variable all the way to blackout. A floor-stand and flightcase are included.
The manufacturer has also added two models to its DW Series of white LED luminaries, named the DW Fresnel and DW Profile. Both allow white light to be dynamically adjusted from a ‘warm, white tungsten bulb’ through to ‘daylight’. Powered by a 250W, 100,000 hour white LED engine, they feature beam zoom and beam framing/shaping control as well as a low-noise cooling system.
The 8,700 lumens DW Fresnel has a 19- to 72-degree manual zoom and is capable of varying colour temperature from 3,200K to 7,000K. Rotating barn doors allow for shaping of the beam and a frost filter softens the light. Colour temperature and full range dimming can be achieved manually or via DMX control.
The DW Profile features a 17- to 27-degree manual zoom and is capable of varying colour temperature from 3,000K to 6,200K. It includes a 4-blade manual framing system for control of the beam shape and supports B-size glass, metal, or HT transparency glass gobos for custom projections. Strobe and full range dimming is either manual or DMX controllable, and a selection of variable dimming curves is provided. Output is up to 8,400 lumens with a max power consumption of 300W.
Finally, eNode is a line of Art-Net to DMX routers including the eNode8 Pro and eNode 4. Both are reportedly the result of the increased use of DMX and pixel mapping. The eNode 8 Pro is an eight Ethernet to DMX interface suited to installation applications or large pixel mapped DMX systems. Houses in a 19-inch rack-mountable chassis, the unit contains two Neutrik Ethercon connectors, eight 5-pin Neutrik data connectors and a PowerCON connection. The eNode 4 is a smaller format four Ethernet to DMX interface with two Ethercon connectors for input and thru, four 5-pin Neutrik data connectors and a PowerCON connector.
The Ethernet connectors support auto MDI/MDIX, and each DMX output can be set to function as single, zero, HTP/LTP or in broadcast mode. IP addresses can be set manually, while the unit can receive online software updates and work as a standard DMX splitter.
