Embracing makeshift ear rigs

Embrace has been designed with earmounts that can be trimmed and shaped, meaning that Point Source Audio’s new miniature microphone is easily customisable. This, the manufacturer states, dramatically reduces the time it takes to construct makeshift ear rigs from ‘over 20 minutes to 10 seconds’, with the ability to fit (and refit) the microphone to the user’s ear.

The Embrace microphone utilises the manufacturer’s Series8 technology and includes earmounts for both left and right ears. The mic element is 4mm in diameter, and a maximum SPL of 148dB is offered. Point Source Audio has made Embrace available in a range of colours to match hair and skin tones, as well as accepting theatrical colour markers of almost any colour for camouflaging.
