ETC targets 120V markets with Source Four Dimmer
Published: PRODUCTS
The Source Four Dimmer is a new solution from ETC that provides per-fixture distributed dimming in 120V markets. In a nod to going green, the offering is eco friendly, quiet in operation, and preserves the quality of light.
Designed to make it easier to create an efficient hybrid rig, the dimmer also reduces cabling, therefore making lighting layouts more flexible, and employs ETC’s ES (Electronic Silent) technology for fan-free, noiseless operation. In fact, the manufacturer claims that at 1m, the dimmer noise levels are rated 0dBA, making it a product particularly suited for acoustically sensitive venues.
When attached to Source Four Fixtures, the new dimmers are designed to be easy to layer into a rig with LEDs. In addition, simple switched power can be sent to lighting positions to run all LED and tungsten loads at the same time. An existing distributed data network can control Source Four Dimmers, LEDs and moving lights.
Other key features include onboard controls for local operation and RDM for remote setup, and it also offers the ability to set DMX addresses, change curves and receive status information.
In addition to the Source Four Dimmer, ETC has also released the ES750 Dimmer, which has the same functionality as the Source Four Dimmer, but can work with any type of fixture. The ES750 can act as a remote dimmer for any application and comes equipped with a power input and output to a choice of connectors.
