Having already released 90-degree models of the X-Line Advance family of vertical line-array speakers, Electro-Voice has now developed the X1-212/120 and X2-212/120. The new 120-degree two-way vertical versions are intended for use in a wide variety of applications where wide bandwidth, vertical and horizontal directivity control together with high efficiency is required.
The X1-212/120 can be employed as a wide-coverage system in permanent installations or as near-field elements in a combined line array positioned below 90-degree elements in either passive or bi-amplified mode. The X2-212/120 is best suited to live sound applications using all-120-degree elements and as a near-field element in a combined line array in bi-amplified only mode.
Compatible with all grids and dollies currently available for the existing 90-degree versions, the new models also incorporate an integrated rigging system (IRS) and Mid-Band Hydra line source technology (MBH). Whilst a Wavefront-shaping Circular Hydra (WCH) exists on the X1, a Pin Diffraction Hydra (PDH) has been adopted by the X2.
