Eve squeezes big sound into small gaps

Specifically developed for professional users lacking physical setup space but not wanting to compromise on output, Eve Audio’s latest desktop monitoring solution, the SC203, is a two-way master-slave system comprising a 3-inch multilayer woofer and its newly developed µA.M.T. tweeter. The uniquely shaped monitors each ship with a notch shaped ‘FlexiPad’ that both decouples the speaker from its base and allows it to be angled at 0-, 7.5- or 15-degree angles.
The monitors are driven by a 30W PWM amplifier boasting a separate filter section and are stated to extend low-end reproduction down to 62Hz (-3dB). Input connections include analogue RCA, digital optical and USB while a volume-controlled subwoofer output accommodates the formation of a 2.1 system with Eve’s TS107 or TS108 subwoofers.
The manufacturer has also introduced the PMR 2.10 passive monitor router which aims to simplify the selection of multiple speaker setups. Offering two balanced analogue inputs and 10 stereo outputs, the 1U package comprises a separate seven-segment digital display providing quick feedback from a user-specific location, as well as a wired remote control selector. Speaker selection is performed using the wired-remote, while source selection is achieved directly from the unit’s front panel.
