EXEcuting a broadcast

The EXEcutor Broadcast Server range has been designed by PlayBox Technology as a power efficient, customisable and robust solution to provide the foundation for production and broadcasting. The servers can provide a HOW with a ‘complete TV channel-in-a-box’, serving ingest and media management, titling and graphics, playout and scheduling, or can be used as a tailored combination of services from PlayBox’ software, including traditional, streaming and hybrid workflow models.

A variety of IP-streaming formats, as well as SDI connections, serve as content outputs, while resolutions supported range from SD all the way up to 4K. The EXEcutor servers also possess the ability to stream several channels at once and are deigned to seamlessly interface with most routers, while LTC timecodes and GPI triggers can be used to activate them.

Alongside the servers, PlayBox has also released the EXEcutor Virtual Control Panel (EVCP). Web-based to enable remote and cross-platform management of EXEcutor Broadcast Servers, the EVCP facilitates content, user and playout management, remote media uploading and systems monitoring.
