They include front panel LEDs which indicate signal and device activity, such as power status, signal connection, HDBaseT connection and HDCP presence. The H2 line extenders are all feature a low-profile chassis design to keep installation footprints to a minimum and support 2-channel PCM and multichannel audio up to 7.1 DTS-X as well as Dolby Atmos.

The EX-35-H2 reportedly covers distances of up to 35m for 4K and 70m for HD, while the EX-70-H2, EX-70-H2-ARC and EX-70-H2X double the coverage distance for 4K, taking it up to 70m, and can cover 100m for HD. All four are capable of transmitting uncompressed video up to 4096x2160 with 30Hz, 24Hz and 60Hz refresh rates, as well as chroma subsampling rates of 4:2:0 and 4:4:4.

The EX-70-H2X possesses two-way PoH, which allows either end to be remotely powered by the other and offers power connectivity improvements in the way of phoenix and threaded DC power ports and Ethernet pass-through facilitating full HDBaseT 5Play. As its name suggests, the EX-70-H2-ARC, adds ARC functionality, enabling digital audio from a display device to be sent back to the receiver and to other locations.
