The F35 series DLP projector features a Texas Instruments WQXGA DLP chip offering 2,560 x 1,600 pixels resolution. WQXGA features 78 per cent more pixels than WUXGA resolution (1,920 x 1,200), and offers more than five times the resolution of a standard XGA display, resulting in very high pixel-density displays which require fewer projectors to produce ultra-realistic images. The Norwegian manufacturer claims that the ultra-high resolution imaging will increase efficiencies, reduce installation complexities and provide a better return on investment for users. With the same number of channels, the F35 series offers more pixels, which benefits those applications such as visualisation and simulation, where the emphasis is on fine detail and the accurate rendering of images.
The new ProNet 2.0 scalable network asset management software has been designed for managing an unlimited number of projectors in a single site, using standard TCP/IP or RS232 communication. It also comprises various tools for colour calibration, network based management and pixel blending together with geometry correction with the company’s Multi-image Processing Systems (MIPS). ProNet 2.0 works with the entire range of projectiondesign projectors and MIPS processors, maximising their use, avoiding any unnecessary wiring, hardware or programming. ProNet 2.0 is available as ProNet.enterprise (projectors installed in multiple sites and locations), ProNet.calibrator (colour matching of multiple displays), ProNet.MIPS (set up for multiple image process, warp and edge blend) and ProNet.site (for multiple sites and challenging applications).
