FBT offers a Ventis to go
Published: PRODUCTS

FBT’s Ventis range of loudspeakers comprises four enclosures for either portable use or fixed installations. For portable use, the cabinets feature aluminium handles with rubber inserts, a 35mm pole-mount socket and a 45-degrees sloped profile for use as a stage monitor. When fixed, M10 points are included as standard while an optional U-bracket can be used for wall-mounting.
Equipped with 80-degrees (horizontal) x 50-degrees (vertical) constant directivity rotatable horns, the 115 (15-inch), 112 (12-inch) and 110 (10-inch) models are two-way, bass reflex designs housed in 15mm birch plywood and further protected with a full grille. The three models integrate 1-inch exit throat B&C HF compression drivers with either 1.7-inch and 1.4-inch voice coils operating within a frequency response of 42Hz to 20kHz (115), 48Hz to 20kHz (112) and 58Hz to 20kHz (110).
The multi-purpose Ventis 206 integrates a 70-degrees (horizontal) x 50-degrees (vertical) rotatable horn and has been created deployment as a front-fill, an under-balcony fill or as a main speaker augmented by a subwoofer. The 6.5-inch model operates within a 70Hz to 20kHz frequency response and is capable of producing a maximum SPL of 131dB. Constructed in 12mm birch plywood, the 206 integrates a rear handle and an optional mounting bracket.
A switch mode amplifier module drives the active (A) models, for which the low frequencies are supplied by a 700W RMS (full bridge) Class-D topology and the HF section is powered by a 200W RMS Class-H/AB module. Access to the on-board DSP is on the rear of each enclosure, where a menu-driven system is navigated via a single rotary control with push-to-select functionality.
A total of six pre-optimised settings are available (original, vocal, DJ, touring, loudness and warm) together with two further slots for self-customised designs, using five parametric equalisers per slot. Also included are a high-pass filter, a mic/line selector, low/mid/high tone settings, an optional delay (0 and 3.5m) and two limiter modes.
The rear control panel also features balanced and XLR jack inputs, XLR link out, volume controls, RCA stereo input and a DSP display with a push-button rotary encoder. The four passive models combine built-in passive crossovers with soft-trip protections for the LF woofer and HF driver together with SpeakOn NL-4 In and Link Out connectors.
