First CobraNet enabled amplifier from Stewart Audio

Described as ‘a full-featured power amp that is ideal for a multitude of sound reinforcement applications’, Stewart Audio has unveiled its new CVA110-2 CobraNet enabled power amplifier.

The Energy Star compliant CVA110-2 is the manufacturer’s first amplifier to feature a factory-installed CobraNet option, a feature intended to target networked audio applications such as courtrooms, retail environments, restaurants, bars, educational and training facilities, sound masking, and paging and notification systems. The amplifier is reportedly particularly suited for installed sound applications where space is at a premium – the two-channel constant-voltage amp boasts 100W per channel and fits into a half-rack space.

Other features include Signal Sense Power Technology (SSPT), which turns the amplifier off when no signal is present; a selectable high pass filter; remote volume control and muting; and optional control via RS232 or infra-red.

Additionally, the amplifier’s rear panel provides LEDs for visual confirmation of power and clipping, plus provisions for defining the 65/150Hz high pass filter settings. Euroblock connectors are also provided.

Also new is the ‘compact’ AV100 power amplifier, which has been developed to meet the demands of commercial and residential integrators, as well as musicians.

Described as suited to the budget-conscious user, the 100W monaural amplifier is designed to drive 4-Ohm and 8-Ohm loads as well as subwoofers. Onboard is a switch-mode power supply, a button to switch between full range (30Hz to 20kHz) and subwoofer (30Hz to 150Hz) modes, and LEDs for visual confirmation of power and clipping. The AV100 can be pole mounted, attached behind flat panel displays, or recessed in lecterns.
