First Omneo keypanels debut

The first Omneo-based intercom keypanels from RTS were unveiled at the recent ISE show in the form of the KP-Series.

Currently comprising three models, the series’ integration of Omneo means that the keypanels benefit from both Dante compatibility and Open Control Architecture (OCA) system control. Additionally, the models are all backwards compatible with the manufacturer’s existing analogue matrices, house a full-colour HD display capable of displaying Latin, Cyrillic and simplified Chinese characters, offer single key operation and integrate as standard a range of GP-I/O and ancillary audio functions that were previously optional. The members of the family released so far are the 2U, 32-key KP-5032, the 1U, 16-key KP-4016 and 1U, 16-key extension panel, the EKP-4016.

The German brand has also introduced a desktop/wall-mount keypanel to expand the KP-Series in the form of the DKP-4016. The unit offers GPIO and a rear RJ-45 connector, and Ethercon and fibre module (SFP) sockets to support connectivity to either analogue four-wire or digital IP networks. Four-pin and five-pin headset connectors and a single aux port increases connectivity. Like the rackmount keypanels, the DKP-4016 houses a full-colour HD screen and integrates a lockable power connector to ensure interruption-free operation, especially in the wall-mount configuration.
