Focusrite releases iTrack portable recorder

Described by the manufacturer as a ‘revolution in iPad recording’, Focusrite has released the iTrack Dock – a studio-quality lightning iPad recording interface.

Able to work with any Core Audio app, such as Garageband, Cubasis, Auria, the iTrack has dual Focusrite microphone preamps (with 48V phantom power), two line inputs, an instrument DI, independent stereo monitor and headphone outputs, and a USB port for class-compliant Midi instruments and controllers.

Compatible with any Lightning-equipped iPad, instrument, microphone, class-compliant Midi controller or audio device, the iTrack features Focusrite A-D/D-A conversion with over 105dB dynamic range, operating at up to 24bit, 96kHz sample rates. The iTrack Dock also provides latency-free direct monitoring and is able to power and charge the iPad at the same time.
