Fresh colour options for Pioneer headphones

Pioneer DJ has added new colour options for its range of DJ headphones including matte white for the high-end HDJ-1500 and flagship HDJ-2000 plus green and violet for the HDJ-500.
Until now both the HDJ-1500 and HDJ-2000 have been available in the original silver and black chrome. Other than the colour option, the features of both high-end headphone sets remains unchanged including the HDJ-2000’s 38 micrometre diaphragms, 50mm drivers, rolled voice-coils and removable mini XLR connector. Alternately the HDJ-1500 set features a sound-isolation chamber as part of its bass reflex port to isolate low and medium frequencies (300Hz to 1,300Hz) by as much as 4dB compared to the previous HDJ-1000 model.
The more budget conscious HDJ-500 headphones were already available in black, red and white. The range has now been extended with the addition of the HDJ-500-G (vibrant green) and HDJ-500-V (brilliant violet). The range is described by the manufacturer as ideally complementing its recently launched DDJ-WeGO compact DJ controller, which is available in the same colour scheme. Other features include 40mm drivers, a 19 micrometre diaphragm and a copper-clad aluminium wire voice coil.
