Furman launches BlueBolt for 240v

A 220v version of Furman’s BlueBolt remote power management system has been announced, with previews having already taken place earlier in the year at ISE 2011.

The original 120v version of the IP-based software was released into the US in 2009.

BlueBolt allows the remote monitoring and control of the power flow into multiple electronic devices in multiple locations via IP, utilising an ‘intuitive interface and simple plug and play operation’.

The modular system’s popularity in the US market has been largely thanks to the simplicity of its set-up, with users connecting any Panamax or Furman product equipped with a BlueBOLT IP communications card to the internet, then leaving the unit to automatically locate its home server. According to the manufacturer, the software ‘allows individual outlets or outlet banks to be power-cycled from any web browser or web-enabled mobile device’. Users also receive email notifications when power anomolies are detected.
