Lynx Technik AG’s greenMachine combines hardware, downloadable apps for customisation and control software to provide broadcasters with an efficient and future-proof DSP infrastructure proof. A turnkey solution, three configurations have initially been made available that include the hardware and apps: the 3G/HD/SD dual channel SDI Frame Synchroniser and added Up/Down/Cross Conversion versions, as well as the HD (1.5Gbit/s) SDI dual bidirectional transport package.
Upon purchase, the user selects the hardware processing platforms. These are signal processing devices that are inactive at first and include a range of internal processing channels and I/O connections. Following this, apps can be downloaded, with additional software available to purchase, to provide the required functionality. This design enables greenMachine to be flexible for a wide range of applications due to its easily reconfigurable nature. In regards to future-proofing, Lynx Technik has pledged to regularly add new apps to the aptly named greenStore.
In keeping with the greenTheme, the greenMachine has been designed to offer ‘intuitive graphic editing’ and ‘visualisation tools facilitate the navigation, configuration and control’ via the greenGUI. The greenUniverse, meanwhile, visualises all of greenMachine’s installed apps and hardware, delivering a complete system view.
