Ground up redesign for Rhaon II

With the promise of ‘more robust technology’ and a ‘streamlined, intuitive workflow’, the Rhaon II System Manager software from Renkus-Heinz has been completely redesigned from the ground up. The result is compatible with the manufacturer’s Gen5 and legacy products alike.
Key features include an intuitive, device-centric UI, streamlined workflow, and reportedly more than 200 per cent faster operation. The ‘network agnostic’ interface is designed to accommodate upcoming as well as contemporary protocols (the system currently supports AVDECC IEEE1722.1, Cobranet and AVB, with easy implementation of Dante and AES67). Integral to the software is BeamWare III, the latest iteration of the manufacturer’s beam steering calculation and simulation program, which adopts a new wizard-led approach to simplify the process. Accordingly, the software can calculate an optimal beam design, acoustic centres, and level profiling.
Also onboard is UniBeam (Universal Beam) technology, described by Renkus-Heinz as making it possible to achieve ‘Half Horn’ coverage using Iconyx beam steering. ‘Point the top of your beam to the back row,’ the manufacturer says, ‘and UniBeam will provide seamless coverage to the front of the room, keeping sound away from upper walls and ceilings’.
