Grundorf targets touring professionals with robust snake racks

Grundorf‘s Tour 8 Series snake racks have been optimised to provide touring professionals with an efficient and robust means of managing the connections between microphones, mixing consoles, processors and other equipment typically used in sound reinforcement applications. In addition to its robust construction, the series' functional and ‘road-worthy’ design are highlighted to be key attributes.

The Tour 8 Series Snake Racks are available in 12-, 16-, 18-, and 20-space configurations. In addition to holding a rack-mountable snake box, these cases also have a compartment on the utility side of the enclosure to house the snake reel, meaning that the snake ends can be left plugged into the snake box and be pulled out for the length of the run, thereby saving time during setup and break-down.

Convenience and secure connectivity are also key to the series’ appeal, as the systems hold a rack-mountable snake box and include a pass-through between the rack and utility sections of the case so the feeder cable can remain connected. For added protection, there is a cable port located at the rear of the enclosure that enables the top lid to remain attached while the system is in use.

Available in red, black, blue and gray, the snake racks employ a large, heavy-duty dolly outfitted with 4-inch casters and two brakes. To ensure security for the equipment, optional recessed key locks are available.

The snake racks are constructed using 3/8-inch multi-layer plywood with a durable, high impact-resistant ABS laminated finish, and edges are finished with a double-edged aluminium extrusion. The snake rack incorporates 12 rivet point recessed handles and 10-rivet point recessed catches which employ a steel washer backed rivet system.
