Handheld transmitter augments Quinta conferencing
Published: PRODUCTS

The Quinta wireless conferencing solution from beyerdynamic is now the only system of its kind to incorporate a handheld transmitter as well as more traditional delegate microphone options. The addition is intended to open up the Quinta system – beyerdynamic’s fifth generation of wireless conference technology – to a host of new markets and applications.
Quinta is a triple band system boasting intelligent frequency selection between 2.4, 5.2, and 5.8GHz, plus an AVB interface for increased networking options, and an integrated web-browser to facilitate control of the system via smartphone or tablet PC. Alongside the central Control Unit, the system encompasses a variety of options for delegates, including recently introduced gooseneck microphones with integrated voting functionality; the voting software allows results to be displayed in different chart layouts and also to be archived or exported.
Meanwhile, the handheld transmitter can either be connected for conference use like a conventional delegate unit or deployed for applications including panel discussions, whispered interpretation or for use by members of an audience. Offering a minimum five hours of constant use with niMh batteries (an intelligent charging device is available as an accessory), or use with two AA batteries, the transmitter can be used with interchangeable capsules from the manufacturer’s touring gear range. Options comprise the TG V50w dynamic cardioid, the TG V56w cardioid electret condenser, and the TG V96w cardioid true condenser.
Other features include an on/off button complete with Braille lettering, and a back-lit display.
