HK Audio brings full iPad mixing to Lucas Nano

An iPad-controllable speaker is the latest model to join HK Audio’s Lucas Nano portable PA family. Weighing 16.3kg, the Lucas Nano 608i subwoofer offers an integrated eight-channel digital mixer that can be controlled directly using conventional knobs, or can connect to an iPad via Bluetooth, for the remote operation of satellites.
Like other models in the series, the combined system can be deployed as a slim mono column, a classic stereo setup or as a twin stereo system, making it suited to solo musicians, small groups and entertainers.
Mixing on the iPad is stated to be fully-featured – users have access to a complete eight-channel virtual mixer, in addition to drawable EQs, compressors and reverbs. An Easy Mode facilitates quick and simple adjustment, while Expert Mode opens up the complete functionality. The subwoofer cabinet houses a 10-inch driver while the satellite houses a 4.5-inch broadband woofer and 1-inch tweeter. A transport bay for the satellites is located in the subwoofer to aid transport.
