Hosa Technology unveils speaker and mic cables

Hosa Technology has launched its new PPC-100 Series powered speaker cables, designed for connecting mixing consoles and powered studio reference monitors.
Offering XLR3F, NEMA 5-15P, XLR3M and IEC C13 connectivity, the manufacturer believes these new cables represent an upgrade to pairing an XLR interconnect with a conventional, unshielded power cord.
The new PPC-100 series feature 91cm fans on both ends of the snake to accommodate configuration of both the audio connections and the connection to the AC power distribution box. The new cables incorporate a UL-approved, 14 AWG shielded power cord to deliver AC power, coupled with a shielded 24 AWG audio interconnect featuring Neutrik X-series XLR connectors (male/female) to deliver line-level audio signals. They are available in 3, 8, 15, 23 and 30m lengths.
The new Pro Microphone Cables feature 20 AWG Oxygen-Free Copper (OFC) conductors for enhanced signal clarity, conductive PVC to absorb handling noise, a 90 per cent OFC braided shield for EMI and RFI rejection, and a 6.8mm outside diameter (OD) jacket.
The microphone cables feature Rean connectors by Neutrik AG, and silver-plated contacts for improved signal transfer. They also include a zinc die-cast housing for reliability, chuck-type strain relief for maximum cable retention, rubber boot kink protection for long cable life, and a robust locking latch for secure connectivity.
