Improved Dante implementation leads Lake Controller v6.1

Version 6.1 of Lake Controller has been announced, promising significant updates including improved implementation of Dante, and the integration support of the SysTune real-time audio analysis software.

The update – which applies across both Lab.gruppen’s PLM Series and the Lake LM Series – reportedly delivers ‘greatly improved’ Dante functionality for all devices, with seamless synchronisation between Lake Controller and Audinate’s forthcoming Dante Controller.

A new feature has also been added allowing users to set Lake devices as the preferred Dante network Clock Master. Additionally, a separate Dante Receiver is included to facilitate intuitive routing, while by default Dante now becomes the highest priority source in the PLM/LM input router, valid when a Dante stream is routed to the specific Dante Receiver in either the Lake Controller or Dante Controller. As before, the router offers full flexibility and multiple Dante Receivers can be used.

Other features include a simplification of the Lake Controller IP configuration plus new additions tailored specifically for the install sector such as a Pilot Tone function within the PLM 20000Q and PLM 10000Q platforms (applying to PLM 10000Q manufactured after February 2013).
