Taiwanese manufacturer JTS is now shipping the IN264 Infinity wireless system, boasting a UHF PLL dual channel diversity receiver, handheld (TH) and bodypack transmitters (TB) plus a receiver (R).
Infinity incorporates the patent-pending ‘Remoset’ technology, which is the world’s first remote control RF setting function performing automatic remote control frequency settings of the transmitter from the receiver. As a result, RF signals can be transmitted to send frequency change settings from the IN Series receiver to the IN264TH transmitter in milliseconds up to a maximum distance of 100 metres.
Operating within a bandwidth of 36MHz in the 2.4GHz frequency spectrum, the 1U dual channel diversity receiver features LCD displays depicting RF and audio levels, a low battery indicator, the antenna status and channel selection. The IN264THSM handheld transmitter meanwhile incorporates the new SAM-8W microphone capsule to reportedly deliver high gain before feedback and low handling noise. The system’s plastic bodypack transmitters – each equipped with a four-pin mini XLR connector – are powered by two AA batteries which the manufacturer states can operate up to 12 hours.
Other features on both the bodypacks and handheld transmitters include an LCD display depicting channel, battery life and ID number, and a ‘lock-on’ function to prevent tampering. The new transmitter is compatible with GC-80, GC-80L, GC-100, GC-100L guitar cables and CX-500, CX-508W and CX-516W wireless microphones, while the handheld transmitter features an interchangeable module for either condenser or dynamic capsules.
