Klark Teknik targets large environments with AES50 extender

Designed specifically for use with Midas digital consoles, Klark Teknik’s DN9680 port extender has been expanded to provide a ‘pristine transmission feed’ for up to 192 channels of AES50 digital audio via a dual fibre-optical cable; ten times that currently available over Cat-5.

The 8-port extender includes support for dual-redundant AES50 networking and also provides multiple clock source options – with precision up to one ppm – for increased integration flexibility. User control is via an internal web server, which allows for familiar browser-based configuration via a dedicated Ethernet control port, thereby not restricting user to any computing platform.
