KME offers ‘3D Dynamic Sound Image’

The Galo G10 is a passive line source element that creates a 3D Dynamic Sound Image, providing ‘precise spatial reproduction and depth together with extraordinary sound dynamics’ according to its creator, German loudspeaker developer KME.
According to the manufacturer, the three-source waveguide provides a coherent wave front in the high frequency range reportedly resulting in high-resolution audio of the complete array. Together with the acoustically optimised LF-MF section, the three-source waveguide reportedly provides a defined horizontal dispersion over a wide frequency range.
PreSelect has been integrated into the design of the cabinet. The three-point rigging system promotes the pre-selection of splay angles between the array elements whilst the cabinet is still fixed to the transport dolly. When the array is hoisted from the desired location, the splay angles are automatically created.
The Galo-Focus simulation software offers an acoustic simulation of the system’s performance in 3D, with all the mechanical parameters for the rigging, such as pin points of the flying frame and splay angles of all the array elements.
