Kramer has introduced complete solutions for meeting rooms, boardrooms and huddle spaces that combine its individual solutions into an end-to-end product. Named Kramer@Work, the solutions aim to allow users to connect instantly and present on a main display with any laptop or mobile device, wired or wireless, and allow users to switch seamlessly between multiple presenters and A/V sources, as well as edit documents together in real time, turn the main display into a whiteboard, share files, stream HD video and chat with other participants.
At the heart of these systems is a combination of the manufacturer’s VIA solutions – VIA Collage, VIA Campus and VIA Connect Pro – combined with the K-Touch cloud-based control system. K-Touch reportedly allows anyone in the room to control both the A/V system and other aspects of the room itself, including the lights, shades and screens.
Kramer@Work targets four different meeting room types. The Executive Board Room solution is for a space that requires user-friendly tools, ultra-HD presentation capabilities and an easy-to-use control solution to tie it all together. The Collaboration Room solution is for a BYOD meeting environment in which presentation and collaboration is wireless. The Basic Meeting Room solution is stated to offer plug-and-present connectivity, basic collaboration tools and user-friendly control. Lastly, the Huddle Space solution reportedly offers easy-setup of a robust wireless BYOD environment for the sharing of ideas and information.
The American manufacturer has also launched a new enterprise management platform called Kramer Network. Developed as a result of the increasing convergence of pro A/V and IT, the Kramer Network is described as a bridge between the two worlds. It is one platform that can route, manage, control, operate and maintain pro A/V, IT and IP solutions with a single web-based interface. Uniquely, the solution offers ‘enterprise-grade Dante integration’, offering user management, authentication, predefined connection configurations, a dedicated virtual matrix and a customised room view.
