LaON goes mobile with the LT150

LaON Technology has added to its series of digital wireless intercom systems with the release of the LT150 mobile system. The portable intercom system comprises the MS150 mobile base station and the BP150 beltpack, and according to the manufacturer, offers the same equivalent high-audio quality and performance with an audio as its flagship solution, the LT750 Expert System – up to 7.2kHz. The system is stated to be ideal for small and medium sized studios and event venues, remote broadcasting or industrial sites where high performance is still required.
The MS150 base station can either be installed at a fixed location and connected with an external device via the AUX In/Out interface or installed with a battery for mobile use. Up to 128 belt packs can be registered with a single base station and the system provides five full-duplex audio channels for listen and talk communication via two communication group channels. A Belt Pack can also play a role as a master where there is no base station in range.
Signal quality is assured thanks to the LT150’s UNII 5GHz triple diversity operation, a licence-free and interference-free frequency band that provides up to 15 RF channels as opposed to three RF channels for the traditional 2.4GHz ISM band. As a result of the high frequency band, the effects of interference from high-power digital equipment such as amplifiers and speakers can be minimised. Additionally, the system integrates AES256 level 3 encryption for secure communication.
Both the mobile station and belt packs can be powered using either rechargeable or AA type alkaline batteries and LaON provides dedicated rechargeable battery packs for the MS150 (BAT150) and BP150 (BAT50). An additional BAT-CHG125 battery charger offers seven ports for simultaneous charging of the belt pack battery packs, two of which are dual-use ports capable of charging either a belt pack or mobile base station battery.
