Latest Chiayo wireless system now shipping

Taiwanese manufacturer Chiayo is now shipping its two-way true diversity wireless microphone system, which comes with 100-factory preset user-selectable UHF frequencies.
Featuring an advanced micro-processor control, the latest RF design comes with an improved signal performance for interference free multi-channel operation. In excess of 10 channels can be operated simultaneously within a selected 25MHz bandwidth, for which the true diversity design provides high sensitivity and selectivity.
The receiver’s metal chassis measures 1RU in height and ½RU in width and can be programmed via the multi-function LCD, which also displays a signal indicator for the transmitter battery status. A scan function automatically searches for the cleanest frequency, whilst the antennas can be either mounted on the rear or the front of the unit. Other features include anti-interference Pilotone control and RF noise squelch circuitries, balanced XLR and unbalanced audio outputs together with a digital volume control for precision setting and low noise output. Matching transmitters include the SQ-9000 IrDA/SQ-8000 IrDA and SM-9000 IrDA/SM-8000 IrDA models.
Another new UHF true diversity wireless microphone system added to the Chiayo catalogue is the SDR-5216. It comes with 16-factory preset user-selectable UHF frequencies for which more than eight channels can be operated simultaneously within a selected 20MHz bandwidth. A seven segment LED display on the receiver depicts the selected frequency.
Like the IrDA-9000 model, there is anti-interference Pilotone control and RF noise squelch circuitries, although two balanced XLR and two unbalanced audio outputs have been built into the design. Matching transmitters include the SQ-5016, SQ-1016V, SQ-1016, SM-5016 and SM-1016 models.
