Lectrosonics’ receivers slot into the field

Lectrosonics has designed its SRc and SRc5P wide tuning range receivers for use in tough RF environments in field production. The digital hybrid wireless dual-channel diversity slot receivers reportedly provide out-of-band rejection of RF noise through the devices’ tracking front-end filters.
Two built-in receivers form each device and can be operated separately, with optional adaptors for video camera receiver slots, and audio inputs that can be mixed internally or externally. Alternatively, audio inputs can be separated for discrete recording tracks. The SRc5P includes the additional functionality of allowing dual-channel camera operation with a single audio channel.
The SRc and SRc5P both allow up to 3,072 frequencies per band, which are catered for by tuning steps of 100kHz or 25kHz and feature SmartTune, which automatically selects an available local frequency.
Meanwhile, the latest update to Lectrosonics’ Wireless Designer software introduces functionality for the importing of existing frequency lists and custom frequency creation. The software now allows frequency coordination from other wireless systems, such as HTML files from Professional Wireless Systems’ IAS software, which can now be directly imported.
Wireless Designer is available for PC and Mac users and is designed to provide an overview of the manufacturer’s wireless systems, while enhancing the operation of studio and rack receiver systems. Lectrosonics include a spectrum scanner and coordination package within its software for ease of setup.
