Lynx Technik AG is bringing broadcast frame synchronisation performance to its yellobrik SDI frame synchronisers with the unveiling of the PVD 1800.
Reportedly offering broadcast features and performance in a modular solution, as well as a feature set derived from the manufacturer’s Series 500 synchronisers, the PVD 1800 is designed for use as a standalone module or to be integrated into a larger system. According to the manufacturer, the brick-style module is able to auto-detect any 3G/HD/SD SDI sources, as well as 3G-SDI Level B formats. In addition to featuring audio synchronisation, the PVD 1800 can be configured with a fibre optic I/O, enabling the user to switch between electrical and optical inputs in the case of a signal loss.
The cross-lock functionality of the PVD 1800 converts mismatched SDI outputs and matches them to its connected reference signal. It can reportedly also offer 30 frames of programmable timing delay with pixel, line and frame adjustments. Following in the footsteps of previous yellobrik devices, the PVD 1800 includes controls located on the unit itself, as well compatibility with the yelloGUI control software for PC and MAC.
