MCS-Digital wired conferencing system

MCS-Digital wired conferencing system has been expanded with new integrated units integrating Revoluto technology

Beyerdynamic unveiled the Td-B encrypted wireless boundary microphone at this year’s ISE as part of their Stegos product line. Stegos is an abbreviation of steganography, which is the art of conveying secret messages - it is secret as the message is not perceived as a message by third parties. Based on the size of the room and the number of participants, up to four microphones can be employed to convert spoken word into a high quality digital signal and transfer it to a single receiver, using secure spread spectrum processing technology with additional 128-bit encryption. Up to three systems can be used simultaneously in parallel, for which the disposable NiMH battery pack allows the system to operate for 14 hours without recharging or changing batteries. Bidirectional traffic control between microphone and receiver guarantees sound quality in video conferences and the microphone status can be monitored with either a software interface on a PC or a media control touch screen. The Stegos receiver can be connected securely and simply to all the most popular video conferencing systems from any of the major suppliers. In addition to the pair of angled rod antennae delivered with the Stegos quad receiver, there is also a wide range of accessories which can be used to adapt the Stegos to meet the requirements of any video conference room.

The German manufacturers’ range of MCS-Digital wired conferencing system has been expanded with new integrated units integrating Revoluto technology, which can be concealed in the table and opened out as required. Featuring a high quality Nextel dark-black coating, the units can be integrated esthetically into desktops of varying materials.

The newly-designed space-saving microphone units feature a practical folding gooseneck mechanism, which allows the microphone to be folded away and protected when it is not in use or is being transported, for which both chairperson and delegate units are available in different versions. The basic version has a microphone button, while the more advanced come with a language selector, display and function buttons to facilitate voting. The new unit replaces the MCS-D 2073 and further expands the range of microphones available for use with the system. Models include the MCS-D 3021 (delegate unit with microphone button), MCS-D 3023 (chairman unit with microphone, priority and clear button), MCS-D 3041 (delegate unit with microphone button, language selector and display), MCS-D 3043 (chairman unit with microphone, priority and clear button as well as language selector and display), MCS-D 3071 (delegate unit with microphone button, language selector, display and voting button) and the MCS-D 3073 (chairma nunit with microphone, priority and clear button as well as language selector, display and voting button).

The latest addition to the MCS 20 system is the MCS 263, providing a 5-pin XLR connection for microphones and phantom power. The required button, loudspeaker and headphone are connected to the supplied Phoenix connections and removable mounting clips offer mounting options under the table or in arm rests.
