Midas announces Generation 2.1 software

Midas’ Generation 2 software has been released with the promise of a host of new features and functionality across the manufacturer’s entire range of digital consoles. Key benefits include new effects and dynamics options, plus new mixing concepts such as MCAs and the ‘collapsed’ fader flip.

In addition, Midas has added a rack-full of new latency-compensated effects plug-ins and dynamics processing options to every console in the Pro series, plus its flagship XL8.

New plug-ins include a dual-channel Klark Teknik DN60 real time analyser, a Klark Teknik tape saturation effect, a sub-harmonic generator, multi-channel input phase adjustment insert, a fifth input compressor option, a ducker mode for noise gates, and a new ‘transient accent’ gate option plus variable presence control for all input channel compressors.

G2.1 will be available as a free-of-charge download to all Midas console owners.
