Christie is marking a ‘milestone’ launch with its D4K2560 and Christie D4K3560 projectors, described by the manufacturer as ‘the first projectors to combine 4K resolution, high frame rates at 60 frames per second and 3-chip DLP technology’.
The D4K models replace Christie’s previous D4K25 and D4K35 projectors. The new D4K2560 offers 25,000 centre lumens while the D4K3560 delivers 35,000 centre lumens. Together, they represent the first arrivals in the manufacturer’s TruLife Electronics platform, and boast additional features such as 3G SDI, display port, and DVI/Dual Link DVI inputs.
Also new from the manufacturer is the LW720 3LCD projector, which reportedly builds on the popularity of the LW650.
The single-lamp LW720 is described as ‘compact and affordable’ delivering 7,200 ANSI lumens and a 2,500:1 contrast ratio. It boasts a large lens shift range for flexibility in installation.
