Mobile live streaming comes to the Enterprise Video Platform

With live streaming having entered the consumer market through the likes of Facebook Live and Periscope, Haivision has responded on behalf of the pro A/V industry with the Calypso Mobile app for use with its Enterprise Video Platform. Available on Android and iOS, the app allows users to record, stream and watch secure, high-quality video content from their devices across an organisation’s private network.
Live streams can be recorded and watched back as video-on-demand, Apple’s HLS streaming protocol is supported and the multi-stream player functionality facilitates simplicity in switching between streams. Also included are metadata files, Touch ID authentication and Airplay support for Apple users.
