MT-AMP 1000 begins shipping from IC Audio

IC Audio is now shipping its MT-AMP 1000, which is a 240W powered mixer amplifier offering six selectable and adjustable zones.

When coupled to the MT-EXP 1000 expansion unit, for which up to four can be connected, a maximum of 54 speaker zones can be controlled. A maximum of six microphones (XLR) can be connected and operated in four different priority modes. The MT-PM-01 and MT-PM-06 call stations and MT-PMK12 keypad provide announcements, whilst three aux inputs allow connection to sources. Volume control, bass and treble for each input can be adjusted, whilst the operational readiness and output level of the mixer amplifier is indicated by a blue power-LED and five-digit LED-VU-meter and a 24V emergency power input guarantees operation readiness in emergencies.

A 1-, 2- or 4-tone chime is integrated in this mixer amplifier and can be activated by an external contact or as preannouncement chime.  Additional power can be drawn upon by connecting an amplifier to the MT-AMP 1000 or to each MT-EXP 1000 expansion unit. The MT-AMP 1000 can be equipped with the plug-in module MT-CDT-USB, which combines a CD-/MP3-player, SD-card-reader, USB input and tuner. Six-zone management can be conducted via the MT-WCP-6 wall control panel.

Meanwhile, the D-AMP-500 is a single channel 500W-rated Class-D digital power amplifier, whilst the D-AMP 8x60 is an eight channel model (60W per channel). Both amplifiers come in a 2RU chassis, for which the digital technology provides an average of 42 per cent savings on full output compared to comparative analogue power amplifiers.

Integrating an optimised output filter, the D-AMP designs offer load-independent frequency response and come equipped with a floating transformer output with taps for 100V, 70V and 4-Ohms. A stable output voltage with very low level difference between idle and full load (less than 1dB), short and open circuit-proof and low harmonic distortion (less than 0.5 per cent) are further features of the new amplifiers. The electronically balanced input has a sensitivity of 0dBu equalling 0.775V, whilst both digital amplifiers can be operated from 19V to 30V DC via a battery. Specially designed for 20kHz monitored public address systems, the D-AMP models show very low inter-modulation between audio and the 20kHz test signal.
