JZ Microphones has expanded its product range with its first channel strip. JZ Track is produced by the German manufacturer SPL and is a 1U height mono pre-amplifier incorporating a de-esser, compressor / limiter stage, three-band EQ and output with metering.
JZ Track matches the impedance of its microphones and extends the unique characteristics and expanded harmonic range. The compressor can be connected to a second JZ Track compressor for coherent stereo operation of two units, whilst an optional AD card with ADAT and SPDIF outputs is also available.
In addition to the Track, JZ has also announced the release date for its first dymanic mic. The HH1 is a handheld mic designed for live applications. The manufacturer states that it will ‘provide users with extended frequency range to suit most vocal and instrumental micing needs’.
The mic is comprised of a neodymium magnet equipped cardioid capsule, housed in an all metal body with shockmounting. A Pouch and microphone clamp is included in the package.
