New mics and vocal processors from TC-Helicon

TC-Helicon has released an end-to-end solution for vocalists with the addition of two handheld microphones, the MP-70 and MP-75.
The Lismer capsule design included in the microphones uses a patented neodymium magnet structure. The manufacturer reports that the placement of the super-cardioid capsule provides ‘a high degree of off-axis noise rejection and feedback suppression’. A dual material diaphragm with light and rigid sections produces 50Hz to 18kHz frequency response.
The MP-75 mic has a single button on the barrel that can be used to switch effects from a range of TC-Helicon effects processors in and out including: VoiceLive 2, VoiceLive Touch, VoiceTone Correct XT, VoiceTone, Harmony-G-XT, VoiceTone Create XT, VoiceTone Synth and VoiceTone Singles. The button is user-configurable, allowing mic control to be tailored.
VoiceLive Touch is a vocal processor that features an integrated mic stand mount and interface. With VoiceLive Touch’s ‘touch’ interface sounds can be changed with a tap or swipe of the smooth surface preset slider. With VLoop VoiceLive Touch is a looper for both singers and guitarists. It offers common loop features such as overdub, undo, and multiply. VoiceLive Touch uses the same effects engine as VoiceLive 2. VoiceLive Touch also has the same ‘intelligent’ features found on VoiceLive 2, like Adaptive Tone and NaturalPlay Harmony.
TC-Helicon has also updated its USB enabled connectivity app called VoiceSupport. Version 1.2 of VoiceSupport adds an online preset library that makes freely available a series of professionally produced presets. It also includes a number of enhancements and tweaks to further streamline the application.
