New power options for Lab.gruppen’s install range

Bringing the number of different power options in its D Series to six, Lab.gruppen has added three new models to the install-dedicated range of amplifiers. The series aims to provide integrators with ‘open interoperability’ with a wide range of digital audio and control protocols.
Housed in a new 1U slimline chassis, the three new eight-channel models are the D 40:4L, D 20:4L and D 10:4L. They offer power outputs of 4,000W, 2,000W and 1,000W respectively. All three models also house Lake processing and feature the manufacturer’s Rational Power Management technology which debuted with the original D Series models and allows power to be allocated across the various amplifier channels.
A further feature for the three new slimline models is Lab’s IntellliDrive Energy Efficient Amplifier (IDEEA) output stage, which offers direct 70V and 100V drive as well as low impedance. With many of the series features offering an appreciation for energy efficiency, the new models also integrate CAFÉ (Configuring Amplifiers For the Environment) which aids system design in order to ensure ‘optimised system and lifetime running costs’.
Away from the D Series, the manufacturer has announced 60W Lucia power models including the Lucia 60/2M, Lucia 60/2 and Lucia 60/1-70. Reportedly providing all of the configurable DSP features of their equivalent larger models, the 60W amps result in a 30 per cent reduction in lifetime running costs, promises the manufacturer. The Lucia 60/2M comprises a 4-in, 4-out matrix mixer, with the Lucia 60/2 offering a 2-in, 2-out configuration and the 70V Lucia60/1-70 providing 2-in, 1-out.
Alongside the release of the new models is also a new version of the free Application Browser software, bringing support to all nine Lucia models, as well as an improved rack mount kit and new Lab Level table-top level control.
