New splitter and preamp from ARX
Published: PRODUCTS

Australian manufacturer ARX has released its new MSX-12 4 in, 12 out ISO-Transformer Microphone/Line Splitter.
It features four channels of three-way splits and is aimed at houses of worship, conference centres and broadcast splitting. The company reports its new splitter was developed in response to customer requests for a smaller format version of its MSX-48 16 channel splitter. The MSX-12 is a fully passive unit with no AC power required and the units inputs and main outputs are hard wired to pass Phantom Power from mixing consoles.
Also new from the manufacturer is the PC-pre2 two channel microphone preamplifier. The unit can be mounted into a standard PC tower 5-1/4-inch disk player slot or used as a standalone unit. It has been designed for hard disk recording, data acquisition, loudspeaker testing measurement, sound system testing and EQ'ing and law enforcement interview recording. Features include THAT Corp mic preamp ICs, 48V DC Phantom Power and a full bipolar power supply for maximum signal headroom.
