New tour guide system from Mipro
Published: PRODUCTS
Taiwanese manufacturer Mipro has launched the MGT-100 digital wireless tour guide system, which it says has been developed as an alternative to existing analogue-based technologies. It is described as ‘ultra-compact, lightweight and easy to use’.
Using a digitally-encrypted system, the MGT-100 has been designed for secure listening and clarity in reproduction even in noisy environments. It operates via either Bluetooth, wi-fi or over a 2.4GHz signal. It comprises two components – the MTG-100R portable receiver and MTG-100T portable transmitter, both of which can be matched with the MTG-100C-12 or MTG-100C-28 storage and charger carry case.
The system operates in the license-free 865 and 928MHz ISM band, and boasts 16 preset switchable frequencies. Up to four of the systems can be operated at the same venue without suffering from interference. Other features include true diversity and a built-in lithium polymer rechargeable battery. Finally, an optional stationary transmitter, the MTS-100T, is available for applications requiring interpretation.
