NOA upgrades mediARC

NOA Audio Solutions has upgraded its mediARC audio archive management system with a Service Console to for control and monitoring.

The new Service Console provides a centralised, real-time overview of all mediARC processes running on distributed servers.

The new NOA Service Console links to all native NOA processes, showing the individual activity of each and affording access to its parameters. It can also be used for shared display of any and all tasks taking place in the archive, including throughput levels.

The Service Console upgrade will be integrated into all new mediARC systems, and NOA Audio Solutions is currently shipping it free of charge to existing mediARC users.

The manufacturer has also introduced NOA Record 4, part of its IngestLine family of systems for migration of audio from analogue to digital storage. The system has been developed to meet the needs of enterprises with a great deal of audio stored on long-playing magnetic tape, vinyl, or both. The Record 4 extends the speed and capacity of the system from three to four parallel stereo streams.

The system integrates with both NOA mediARC and JobDatabase workflow systems for digitisation and archive management. Working within the mediARC or JobDatabase environment, NOA Record 4 can increase throughput from the current 2.7 hours of sound digitised per hour to 3.6 hours.
