One Systems releases 108CIM two-way weatherproof loudspeaker

One Systems has announced the new 108CIM 8-inch, two-way, all-weather loudspeaker system. The 108CIM is reportedly a light-weight copolymer based all-weather loudspeaker system designed for applications that require high vocal intelligibility and sonic accuracy.
According to the manufacturer, the loudspeaker is optimised for permanent installation use in outdoor applications such as sports venues, amusement parks, outdoor retail and dining, as well as high ambient noise indoor applications that require a high level of audio clarity.
Its coaxial design features a medium-format, high-frequency titanium-based compression driver that reportedly produces a nominal 70-degree conical radiation pattern. The 108CIM features power handling of 200W continuous, 400W program and 800W peak power output.
The speaker comes in a compact size and is available in black or white. Internal and external rigging and suspension hardware, as well as the metal grille are made from stainless steel or high strength aluminium. All suspension points are also made using 304-grade stainless steel.
Input connections consist of a 5-pin barrier strip, protected by a cover with an integral gland nut connector for outdoor applications. Available accessories include a pan and tilt bracket, U-bracket and eyebolt rigging.
Additionally, an optional version – the 108CIM-70/100 – offers a 150W 3-tap line-matching transformer compatible with 70.7V – 100V primaries and provides taps at 150W-, 75W- and 37.5W accessible through the 5-position barrier strip.
