One touch synchronisation with Chiayo NDR-3900

Chiayo has launched a channel synchronising diversity wireless microphone system in the form of the NDR-3900. The dual-channel model features 100 factory preset user-selectable UHF frequencies, advanced anti-interference Pilotone control and improved signal performance for interference free multi-channel operation.

The transmitter’s channel can be synchronised by a one touch operation to the receiver, whilst the scan function automatically locates the next clean frequency. More than 10 to 12 non-interfering channels can be operated simultaneously within a selected 25MHz bandwidth. The multi-functional front panel LCD depicts channel-frequency, squelch level, RF and audio signal readings. The NH-3900 handheld and NB-3900 belt-pack have been designed for use with the NDR-3900, which can operate for up to 16 hours with double AA batteries.

Meanwhile, the Focus Pro portable sound system can operate on either mains power or built-in rechargeable batteries. The complete audio system comes with wireless SDR-5100 and -5200 IrDA microphone receivers, RP-5100 transmitter modules, an MP3/CD player and a digital recorder. The back panel incorporates a microphone input, aux-in, aux-out and an extension speaker output for connecting additional speakers should they be required. The 6.5-inch portable speaker model can be charged within eight hours courtesy of the lithium ion battery, delivering a reported 11 hours of continuous music (or 20 hours of speech). Weighing 3.8kg, the 70W RMS-rated Focus Pro is driven by a Class-D amplifier.

Finally, the Taiwanese manufacturer has also created an audio converter for operating up to 60 gooseneck desktop microphones. The GMC-60 features include an individual signal indicator for each string of the new GM-143 microphones, for which each port supports a 10-unit string. Flexibility is enhanced as other GMC-60 converters can be linked via Cat-6 cabling. The 1U high, half-rack unit comes with balanced and unbalanced audio outputs, whilst an RJ455 locking mechanism prevents the cable becoming unplugged. The telescopic gooseneck on the new desktop microphone also allows users to adjust the length without moving the base.
