Ottocanali ships from Powersoft
Published: PRODUCTS
Powersoft is now shipping the eight-channel Ottocanali 1204 DSP+ETH amplifier with onboard DSP functionality plus Ethernet-based networking connectivity managed via Armonía Pro Audio Suite PC software.
Generating up to 1,200W output power across eight channels, each selectable for lo-/hi-Z or constant voltage operation, the amplifier supports up to 55 different output configurations. DSP functionality includes dual 24-bit conversion stages with EQ, limiting and time alignment operations, in addition to 24/7 tone supervision capabilities for speaker loads. Ethernet connectivity allows system set-up, monitoring and control directly from a PC or over a network connection. Ottocanali meets EnergyStar requirements, for which the new 1204 DSP+ETH model incorporates many patented Powersoft technologies.
The Florence-based manufacturer has also introduced its new DigiMod 2004PFC, which is a two-channel amplifier module representing a step forward in the company’s long history as an industry-leading manufacturer of solutions for powered speakers. Delivering up to 1000W on 4 ohms per channel (or 2000W on a single 8-ohm load), the DigiMod 2004PFC provides improved power consumption, efficiency and sonic performances owing to a new power supply design, equipped with PFC and featuring Smart Rails Management. The DigiMod 2004PFC paves the way for two new compact four-channel amplifier modules based on the same design.
Powersoft’s one-input/four-output DSP-4 board, designed for use in high-end multi-way and line array systems in combination with DigiMod Series amplifier modules, provides advanced processing and Ethernet-based digital audio networking capabilities, which are currently available on the KDSP Series amplifiers. Based on the Analog Devices SHARC chip, the DSP-4 board may be used with Armonìa Pro Audio Suite software, providing access to unique functionality such as Active Damping Control, True Power limiting and Live Impedance measurement, whilst additionally enabling networking and remote control via the AESOP protocol. Input processing functionality includes delay, multi-layer EQ, custom dynamic FIR filters, and a complete set of limiters. The four fully processed outputs offer crossovers, extensive multi-layer parametric and custom FIR filter options together with delay.
The feature set of the new Armonía Pro Audio Suite 2.3.0 release improves usability, whilst increasing integration with more Powersoft products. The user experience is now enhanced with an improved single-window GUI. New features include Living Workspace, which offers a quick overview of the status of the entire system; a Remote Entities window that provides identification of the networked amplifiers at a glance; integration with the complete range of Powersoft rack amplifiers with the addition of the DSP versions of the M Series and Ottocanali, in addition to all Powersoft power modules; and quicker and easier handling of a multi-network interface.
