Pan Powerline keeps installations simple

Designed to cater to installations with an aging wiring infrastructure, Pan Acoustics’ Pan Powerline offers the possibility to install its active digital Pan Beam loudspeaker system with full functionality, using just two wires.

Normally at least a Cat-6 cable would be required to transmit the steering data to the loudspeakers, with a separate power feed also required for the speakers. The manufacturer’s solution is capable of transmitting audio, power, and steering data down the existing lines, allowing its beam-steering speaker series to be installed in existing environments with limited hassle.

Ideal applications would be the renewal of an installed church or conference sound system, or replacement of an old 100V system where the drilling of new holes is forbidden. All that is needed is the Central Control Unit and the corresponding PPL loudspeakers to be connected via the existing two-wire infrastructure.

The front of the box houses a preset selector switch and USB port, allowing control of the system via the manufacturer’s software application.
