Paul Wolff creates Tonelux 28 Series consoles
Published: PRODUCTS

Described as ‘from the mind of Paul Wolff’, the new 28 Series of analogue consoles has been launched by Tonelux, led by the 8-bus Tonelux 1628.
Paul Wolff is a veteran of audio console design with a pedigree that stretches across almost 40 years. He has described the new range and the 1628 desk specifically as representing ‘the culmination of my many years of experience’ and ‘the best of my work’. At the centre of the new desk is Mr Wolff’s own design of op-amp, which Tonelux describes as offering the advantages of classic Class-A and modern Class A/B topologies. Also onboard are 16 MP1A discrete mic preamps, 16 EQ4P four-band proportional equalisers, 16 MX2 mix modules, four aux sends, eight effects returns, and group and two-bus metering.
Included with the 1628 meanwhile is a ready to use 192-point TT patchbay plus a fully wired D-sub I/O panel for plug and play.
