PCM series
Published: PRODUCTS
SAE Co Ltd is now shipping three new series of power amplifiers.
The PCM series adopts a new generation of Class I output circuitry, which the Foshan-based manufacturer claims incorporates both the tonal qualities of Class AB and high efficiency ratings (in excess of 85 per cent) associated with Class D technologies. The 2U high PCM 7, PCM11 and PCM15 two channel models provide 1100W to 2500W of power in 4Ω operation, with the PCM15 providing as much as 7,200W continuous power in bridged 4Ω mode. Full protections come as standard on the three 14kg models and a PLS network system connector provides remote network control and management via the USB port. The front panel has an integrated power switch, LCD warnings and a volume control knob.
Five models comprise the new 7000 series of toroidal transformer power amplifiers utilising Class J circuitry, which also combines Class A/B and Class D technologies. The 7203, 7205, 7207, 7210 and 7213 models offer between 300W to 1,350W of power in 8Ω operation, for which the 3U high 7213 is capable of producing 5040W of continuous power in 4Ω bridged mode. Like the PCM models, the 7000 series front panel comes with indicators including a two-channel volume control and LCD protections.
Finally, the 9000 series comprises the 9208, 9212 and 9215 two-channel models, which also adopt Class J circuitry in their designs. Power ratings vary between 825W to 1,450W in 8Ω operation, for which the 9215 model can produce a maximum output of 3,200W in 4Ω bridged operation. Weighing between 22kg and 31kg, the 9000 series models come with integrated soft-start, DC, short circuit, overload, overheat, clip-limit and VHF protections.
