Pioneer DJ gets a makeover

Pioneer DJ has announced a new pearl white version of its XDJ-Aero, a Wi-Fi enabled DJ controller that let users send music from smartphones, tablets and laptop computers to the controller using Pioneer’s rekordbox app.

XDJ-Aero-W features the same wireless connection options as the current black edition, identifying up to four devices as sources for music playback. The XDJ-Aero can also create its own wireless access point when an established Wi-Fi signal isn’t available.

The combined structure of the system, including two players and a mixer, enables DJs to use the system as an independent two-channel mixer. It is also equipped with ports for the connection of external sources, such as CDJ players and turntables, so it can be used as a standalone two-channel mixer. Other features include built-in jog control and audio effects for mixing plus creative music playback.

The manufacturer has also announced ‘Platinum Editions’ of the CDJ-2000nexus professional multi-player, DJM-900nexus performance digital mixer, and RMX-1000 Remix Station. The Platinum Edition models will have a limited run of 4,000 units for the CDJ-2000nexus, 2,000 units for the DJM-900nexus, and 2,000 units for the RMX-1000.

The limited Platinum Edition series products will feature a mirror chrome finish, each with a distinctive plaque engraved with the production run and serial number to indicate its authenticity. The system includes two CDJ-2000nexus-M and one DJM-900nexus-M and one Platinum Edition RMX-1000-M. In addition, included with each CDJ-2000nexus-M Platinum Edition will be one Pioneer premium digital cable (DAS-DGC020R).
