Pioneer targets venue interiors with the S-DJ05-W
Published: PRODUCTS

Pioneer has released a white version of its S-DJ05 active reference speaker named the S-DJ05-W, designed so that users have a choice of colours to suit the interiors of specific venues.
Due to a resonance-resistant ‘chimney-style’ heat sink and a bi-amp circuit that independently drives the tweeter and woofer, the S-DJ05-W achieves accurate source sound reproduction and strong bass playback.
The S-DJ05-W's included controller allows simultaneous operation to both the left and right speakers, and the speaker is equipped with a linear EQ function that allows non-step adjustment of frequency characteristics in high and low bands from -6dB to +6dB each. The S-DJ05-W is equipped with four input paths, and an auto standby function has been incorporated to save power.
Also new from Pioneer is the DJM-250: a two-channel mixer featuring two sound colour filters and a range of professional features. Available in a choice of black and grey or white and grey, the DJM-250 features eight inputs to connect with an array of sources, and it can also be used as a pre-amp. The two sound colour filters can be added independently to each channel for seamless marrying of tracks.
The DJM-250 is equipped with XLR balanced XLR outputs, and a user can connect it to XLR compatible devices without the need for an adapter.
Lastly, Pioneer has announced that it has released a free firmware update for the DJM-T1, an officially authorised Traktor Scratch 2 DJ mixer, which includes a new ‘Advanced Shift’ mode.
The DJM-T1 enables operation of Traktor Scratch 2 functions and is equipped with a powerful USB soundcard. The Advanced Shift mode has been added with this software update to let DJs control even more functions of Traktor Scratch 2. This mode makes it possible to assign up to three different function operations for each button and knob on the mixer.
