Prism Sound ADA-8XR to support Pro Tools HDX

UK-based manufacturer Prism Sound recently released the 8C-PTHDX Pro Tools HDX-compatible interface card for its acclaimed ADA-8XR modular audio interface family, marking the latest stage in the range’s long-term association with the Avid DAW.
Having originally evolved alongside Digidesign Mix and later Avid Pro Tools HD systems, the ADA-8XR range has long proved popular with Pro Tools users, becoming particularly well established in the film scoring world.
Following the launch of what has been dubbed the ADA-8HDX, Graham Boswell, Prism Sound’s director of sales and marketing, described the interface card as ensuring ‘that the ADA-8XR family continues in this role’.
The ADA-8XR range also supports AES/EBU IO and FireWire, which can be used with Apple Thunderbolt adapters.
