QSC completes the system

QSC is taking a systems approach with its E Series of passive loudspeakers. The four enclosures can be used as part of the E Series Entertainment System which pairs them with the manufacturer’s PLD or GXD amplifiers and TouchMix mixers and allows DSP settings to support a variety of applications.
Starting with the smallest member of the family, the E10 features a 10-inch, die cast frame woofer with a 2.5-inch voice-coil and has been designed for use as a stage monitor or in main PA deployment. Moving up the scale, the E12 is a trapezoidal, two-way loudspeaker using a 12-inch die cast aluminium woofer with a 3-inch voice-coil, and the 15mm, 11-ply enclosure provides low-frequency extension down to 60Hz. The full-range option is the E15, a trapezoidal, two-way loudspeaker using a 15-inch, 500W, die cast aluminium frame woofer with a 3-inch voice coil. Finally, the E18SW sub offers a single 18-inch, aluminium frame woofer and with its threaded M20 pole socket it can be used in sub/satellite systems with any of the two-way models. Each of the four models features QSC’s DMT (Directivity Matched Transition). According to the manufacturer, this delivers ‘a uniform frequency response across the entire coverage area’.
All four models are constructed from plywood, coated in black, textured paint and offer heavy-duty grilles lined with foam. All three two-way models are equipped with an all metal, dual-angle, 35mm socket that allows the speaker to be mounted vertically on a pole or angled down by 10-degrees. Multiple mounting options using E Series Yoke or M8 eyebolts are supported. Input connections include dual NL4 as well as screw terminal receptacles.
